We know how important this information is and wanted to share this workshop that you can access at any time.
Jeff explains the changes that families need to know including:
1. The FAFSA is usually available October 1, but this year it might not be ready for families until December. For students applying early decision/early action this means their applications and even the college's decision may be completed before their FAFSA goes in.
2. Changes to the previous allowance for multiple siblings in college.
3. In the case of divorce or separation the “parent” in the FAFSA will also be changing.
Jeff also covers the FAFSA vs.CSS Profile, grandparent contributions to college funds, the value of family owned businesses in the current calculations and other important changes.
We hope this is useful for your family. Jeff meets live with College Admissions: Grown and Flown members to answer your questions about paying for college including merit aid, scholarships, CSS profile and more.
